Thao is the principal lawyer at McKay Legal.

We are based in Mascot and also service inner western / outer eastern suburbs such as Alexandria, Beaconsfield, Botany, Eastlakes, Newtown, Macdonaldtown, Marrickville, Redfern, Rosebery, St Peters, Tempe, Waterloo, and Wolli Creek.

Thao graduated with Honours in Law in 2011 and was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 2012.

Having worked for a range of law firms, including a prominent national firm and boutique firms, Thao is passionate about the law and is committed to providing services to her clients in an efficient and empathetic manner. To that end, Thao was compelled to form McKay Legal to deliver her vision of legal services.

As a child of divorced parents, Thao has experienced first-hand the complexities of family law issues. She is passionate about family law and assisting those going through the fraught process of separation. Thao works predominately in family law, dealing with property settlements and parenting matters. She also has substantial experience in conveyancing and wills and estates matters.

Thao is the current Treasurer of the Eastern Suburbs Law Society.

When not practising law, Thao is studying to become an Egyptologist at Macquarie University and enjoys eating, cheerleading, and learning about astrophysics.
